The people of Cobb County, Ga., have a budget conundrum on their hands, thanks to former county chairman Tim Lee’s insistence on spending almost $400 million in public money for a new stadium for the Atlanta Braves…without giving the public a chance to vote on it. The county is now 30 to 55 million dollars in the hole, and now surprisingly county non-profits have seen their funding dry up, and the public is saying the next institution on the chopping block to pay for the new stadium…the counties libraries.
