This time last year I was through-the-roof excited that Nickelodeon was launching a new nightly block of 90s Nicktoons called The Splat…and it was announced at the innagural 90s Fest in Brooklyn New York.
Now, that was quite the overload for me. A new 90s channel AND a 90s festival? Too good to be true! So for the next few months I pondered how I was going to make my way to the next years 90s Fest. Then they dropped the bomb that they were planning not one, not two, but THREE events for the 2016 edition of 90s Fest. In New York, Pittsburgh, and Columbus…which just so happens to only be a few hours away from my home in Traverse City.
So here I am one year later, hosting That 90s Show on BOB FM, and in just a few weeks heading to 90s Fest! Dreams DO come true for a 90s kid looking to relive his childhood.
This year 90s Fest is absolutely stacked! Pauly Shore is going to host, Sugar Ray is playing in New York, Sisqo, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Sister Hazel, and Vertical Horizon are also on the bill with a handful of other fantastic bands. Also, Nickelodeon will be in the house with The Splat, and that means a whole lotta slime!
