Even though I was a child, I can clearly remember watching TV one afternoon, only for breaking news to cut in with coverage of a high-speed chase involving a white Ford Bronco.
Of course, I’m talking about the high speed chase that led to the infamous O.J. Simpson murder trial. I remember coming home from school every day in the Fall of 1995 and my parents being glued to the TV watching live coverage of the trial.
I didn’t really understand at the time, but thanks to “The People vs. OJ Simpson” on FX, I can relive everything that happened that had American sitting on the edge of their seats. I’m only a few episodes in, but I am hooked, and I can’t wait to clear a few hours of time every week to sit down and watch each episode. It’s a crime drama with a strange kick of nostalgia via my parents excitement toward the trial, and I like it.
The People vs. OJ Simpson has my approval so far…just don’t tell me how it ends.
