Cheerleading rarely makes the news, now it has thanks to a 33-year-old Massachusetts woman that was arrested after trying to pick up her niece from cheerleading practice while drunk, and then repeatedly fleeing from police who attempted to pull her over. Officers began seeking Andrea Rego when they got a call reporting a drunk woman was trying to pick up her niece from cheerleading practice, and when they spotted Rego’s car and tried to pull her over, she stopped her vehicle twice for police, only to accelerate away as soon as a police officer got out of his cruiser to approach. Eventually the woman was pulled over and arrested.
